    It's fitting that Jason Bay scores the winning run

    I am so glad that Jason Bay was involved in scoring the winning run.  He replaced Manny very well this year.  No, he's not the threat, but he has been everything that you want in a left fielder.  He fields the position well, drives in runs, scores them and now this winning run to move the Red Sox into the League championship!

    Jason Bay just gets out there and plays ball, he's like a Bill Mueller....I'd rather have them than Manny any day of the week...they play to win

    Thank goodness he got his hand out from under the catcher's foot before he stepped all the way down WHEW!

    Yes!! Harley..that set of spikes sliding back over Jason Bay's hand made me shudder...that could have very well been a season ender! Why more guys don't wear protective gloves on the bases has always befuddled me..dexterity is not a question..and some protection of the hands and all those parts that will bend in the wrong direction with the least amount of encouragement  plus all the sharp things and rough gravel around bases..well you see them brushing off their hands all the time..........!!!!!!!!
