    2008 Playoffs

Okay we went into their house and left them speechless and dumbfounded! How could the Red Sox come into our backyard and win both games? We threw our best pitchers at them and they looked quite beatable! K-Rod looked like he was about to hang himself after Drew took him deep last night! The despondent looks on their haunted faces was pricelss for every Sox fan out there! It doesn't matter what the batting average is for Teixeira, Guerrero, Hunter, the big three that the announcers build up every time they come to the plate! They just haven't been driving in any runs! Thats what matters, the RBI's! You could possibly go 0-the series and drive in runs with sac flies all day long. As long as you put runs on the scoreboard thats all that matters! Now the Sox have been doing just that so far. Elllsbury is becoming a folk hero around Boston for the way he plays in October! Don't forget his defense either! Unbelievable, he reminds me of Griffey Jr in the early nineties, doesn't have the same arm strength but you have to basically hit it out of the park for him not to get to anything hit his way. Jason "I don't need to be Manny" Bay, and thank God for that, Has had a few frustrating at bats, but when you boil it down has been the big bat so far for the Sox. Just as many HR's and more RBI's than that guy in LA-LA land with his dreads pulled too tight! Drew, a guy who could barely walk the last month and a half of the season, has come up ridiculously huge for us in this series. Papi may have not hit any Walk-off's, YET, has had timely hits, the kind that can deflate a closer, see K-Rod last night. Pedroia and Youk? still slugging away!

Dice-K may have run into trouble last night, but if you look at a lot of the pitches he made last night you would see he was getting squeezed by the homeplate umpire, unintentionally or not there were plenty'o bad calls that extended at-bats for the Angels, but he otherwise pitched well. Lester, well lets hold his place in the hall for a while, but he has shown the stuff that legends are born from. Flat out he's becoming one of the best lefties in MLB! Then there's Josh Beckett, a man who needs no pumping up about what he can do in the play-offs! If he is healthy on Sunday than this series is over!

Let's hope the '07 Beckett shows up in Tampa Bay, and not the '06 Beckett who doesn't listen to Tek, and becomes stubborn
